    Description

vintage RARE  Christian Dior YSL lingerie.
This is an extraordinary  estate find!
2 piece set, huge palazzo pants and crop chemise top. Nylon in two layers, a nylon jersey knit with sheer nylon overlay.
Chemise top has pleats and lace and the pants have the same lace and legs that are 72" circumference at the bottom.
Pink satin ribbon trim, rosettes on the top and a bow on the left front of the waist on pants.
Pants have back zipper and two covered buttons with narrow elastic loops.
Only  One flaw/issue, and  the outer sheer nylon  layer on the right pant leg midway  has gotten  picked, see photo.
The RN number denotes that this would have been  made in 1960> which  was at a time when YSL had taken over the Dior studio after Dior's passing in 1957.
The nylon  zipper confused me as did the Dior  label  style, both looking more 80s. But  facts  prove  otherwise.
But apparently nylon zippers started in the 1940s. And there is a garment makers union label, which dissolved in 1995.
Through  research on the union logo, or symbol, it leads me to the research that the R is not on this particular style logo, so  this particular  style label is pre-1964. Most likely 1960-1963.
Inseam on the pants is 26 1/2", the rise  is 16" and the  waist is 28". Hips could go  to 40".
Even though the  top measures 40" circumference, I suggest   that 37" be  about the maximum bust, because there are no openings on the top, it needs to pull  over  the  head.
This  is  a  peach   tinted shade of  Ivory. Some  of the colors in the photos  may  look a bit different, due to  lighting  and trying  to  show details. But  it is a consistent, not  faded, peachy  ivory  color.
